Tsukuba Plant Starts Operation Komorifs vision of the future is gathering headway. The next-generation Tsukuba Plant is a world-class production facility for offset printing presses. Presses that will address printersf needs for machines with advanced functions and the capability of high added value multicolor printing. Sited in a verdant corner of Tsukuba Science City, Komorifs Tsukuba Plant encompasses factory, research and development, training center, and other facilities in a complex with floorspace of 38,000 sqm on a 185,000-sqm site. The simple, sharp architectural design articulates Komorifs world-leading production and research and development systems. To optimize the mix of people, technologies and the environment, the Tsukuba Plant incorporates five basic themes: improved quality and reliability, higher efficiency and a faster rate of production, enhanced communications, human resources, and environmental friendliness. A green facility, the Tsukuba Plant generates electricity through solar and wind power and runs its air-conditioning system on gas. Thus, the plant reduces power consumption and CO2 emissions. Since our founding, Komori has relentlessly pursued the pinnacle of quality and reliability \ the starting point for all manufacturing.
