2012 Komori Corporation Calendar “Perfection on Earth” won the “Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry” Prize which is one of the best three at the 63rd “All Japan Calendar Competition".

The All Japan Calendar Competition is sponsored by Japan Federation of Printing Industries and Japan Printing News Co., Ltd. It has been held annually since 1950 and Komori Corporation entered the 63rd Competition for 2012 calendar. At the Competition, 756 calendars were submitted by well-known companies from all over Japan and as a result of strict judging carried out on December 8 and 9, 2011, Komori’s calendar was honored with the “Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry” Prize ranking among the top three.

The Award Ceremony was held at Bayside Hotel Azur Takeshiba in Tokyo, Japan on January 11, 2012. Mr. Satoshi Mochida, Chief Operating Officer of Komori Corporation attended the ceremony and received the prize diploma and plaque. As a representative of the prize winners, he expressed his appreciation to the organizers, guests and participants at the reception.

KOMORI won the "Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry" Prize which is the First one in 59th "All Japan Calendar Exhibition / Competition" sponsored by Japan Federation of Printing Industries and Japan Printing News Co,.Ltd.

The organizer has received 892 applications from all over Japan and KOMORI won the first prize in "Business Enterprise" category. And also KOMORI calendar won the Bronze Award of 58th "International Calendar Show" in Stuttgart.

2007 Komori Corporation Calendar won “Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Commercial Affairs Information Policy Bureau Chief” Award. It is the one of Best Three Awards!

The All-Japan Calendar Exhibition is sponsored by the Japan Federation of Printing Industries. It has been held annually since 1950 and Komori Corporation submitted an entry for the 58th Exhibition for 2007 Calendar. Approximately 840 calendars were submitted by well-known companies from around the nation and, as a result of strict judging held over the two-day period of December 7 and 8, our company’s calendar was honored with the “Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Commercial Affairs Information Policy Bureau Chief” Award, ranking among the top three.



About the 2007 Komori calendar
The Komori calendar series based on the concept “A collaboration of creativity and printing technology” started in 2005, and the 2007 edition marks our third year.
In the past, graphic design and printing technology have had a mutual history of influencing each other, and this relationship has not changed. But now this type of work has gone beyond the realm of simple commercial design, establishing its cultural position as a new art and entering the collections of domestic and foreign art museums.
For this edition of the calendar, printing technology plays a part in supporting Mr. Katsui’s art, and high quality is always a necessity. The capacity to emphasize the depth and vividness of color, to draw the lines finely and sharply, to express the artist’s concept dynamically and harmoniously—this is the required printing technology. And to realize them, a high-performance printing press is indispensable.
The 2007 edition of the Komori calendar embodies the challenge of expressing the new designs of this creator, representative of Japan and active worldwide, and Komori’s cutting-edge presses and printing technology.
