The exhibition was held under the worldwide finance crisis since last year still influenced even on China's growing economy, particularly in export. Therefore, in the beginning it was estimated the decline in the number of visitors and business negotiations, but it turned out to be successful once the exhibition began without feeling business depression perhaps because of positive economic policy in China.

The total show space of the exhibition reached 110,000 square meters and 1,284 exhibitors from 25 countries/regions presented their latest technologies and products. In addition, over 50 technology exchange events were held during the exhibition. More than 160,000 visitors from 80 countries/regions attended according to the event organizer’s announcement.

At China Print, Komori conducted various demonstrations per day by three exhibited sheetfed offset presses, LS-440 with full spec, LS-440SP and LS-429 under our theme, “Five Solutions” and corporate slogan, “Kando: Beyond Expectation”. Through the demonstrations, we introduced the details of those superior performances including the latest technologies to meet various demands in the printing industry.

We showed the contribution to the reduction of environmental burdens by productivity enhancement and easy combination use of CTP plates and waterless plates.

It is not a full-automatic press, but we showed the high quality of the press itself and printing. In addition, we demonstrated that the press could produce high-value added printing comparatively easily by the combination of wide color gamut ink “Kaleod” (Toyo Ink) and FM screen.



As for the business negotiations, we were able to achieve far more orders than our initial goal by China's economic recovery and regional printing enterprise economic boom.

We also hold a dinner party “Komori Night”. Many customers joined the party and had a great time.



Official commendation for excellent salesmen

Four excellent salesmen from our overseas subsidiaries and distributors in China defended Komori’s Chinese market share during the depression of business negotiations influenced by the worldwide financial crisis.

Official commendation for excellent servicemen

Komori’s subsidiaries and distributors in China overcame the barriers of their company organizations and started the activities “One China One Service Team” from May 2008. Three people who received the awards are our service staff, and they played a central role to start up the activities.
The purposes of “One China One Service Team" are as follows.

Periodic Komori preventive maintenance
Building Technical Group (2 persons each from our overseas subsidiaries and distributors)
Standardized spare parts prices and repair charges

Unified servicemen’s uniforms throughout China

At China Print 2009, Komori unified servicemen’s uniforms of its overseas subsidiaries and distributors throughout China as part of “One China One Service”.

One-year anniversary of Szechuan/Sichuan earthquake event

On the second day of the exhibition on May 12, all the participants at the exhibition offered a one-minute silent prayer to mourn the victims at the exact same time when the huge earthquake hit the Szechuan/Sichuan province of China in 2008. At Komori, we created the posters using children’s pictures that are the victims of the earthquake and printed them on LS-429 and the visitors purchased them for 20 RMB per sheet for the donations of the victims.

We greatly appreciated quite a lot of people visited Komori booth during the exhibition.
