Service demonstration

At Service area, we showed "KOMORI ASSISTANCE" concept by 5 view points as follows,



1. Try to increase productivity!
2. Try to improve printing quality!
3. Try to stabilize press performance!
4. Try to prevent damage from a disaster!
5. Try to reduce waste paper!

We displayed many retrofit products, upgrade software and support systems at there. Our service representatives explained all of them 5 times a day.

Other exhibits

DoNet corner, Web Press corner, Chambon and Security Press corner, Print Gallery and OnPress desk were prepared in Komori booth. Many guests visited there to know updated Komori every day.

At DoNet corner, JDF compatible K-Station, PPF compatible PPC, partners' MIS systems, KHS-AI for Sheet and Web offset presses, and color management system were displayed. Engineers for above explained each system in response to requests from many guests.





At Web press corner, we exhibited PQA-W print quality assessment system and demonstrated for the guests. Also the case study videos of 4 Komori Web press customers were shown on plasma display. It was also shown on Main Theater screen between demonstrations. Products lineup of Web, Chambon and Security presses was displayed by some panels on the wall of the corner.





At OnPress desk, we introduced "OnPress" magazine to the overseas guests. And also, we conducted a questionnaire survey to provide valuable information to our customers.



Beside of OnPress desk, we set up the space for "Save The Children" organization to help for making an appeal for contributions. Many guests came to the space to donate and to buy original goods as donation. Amount of donation reached into 114, 983 JPY in five days. We acknowledge our guest's favor.



Even though show attendance was low due to the very difficult economical circumstances, many guests not only from Japan, but also China and Korea from some other Asia Pacific area visited Komori booth. We had many fruitful discussions with many customers. Thank you very much to our guests and partners.

Komori exhibited 3 presses such as 4-color LITHRONE S40(LS-440), brand new 4-color LITHRONE S32(LS-432) and 4-color perfecting press SPICA 29P-W(SPICA-429PW).

We demonstrated above 3 presses 5 times a day and we presented superior performance with updated technologies and high print quality to meet the demand of print industry.

SPICA-429PW was demonstrated in front of the booth using with some eco-friendly plates. Fast change-over with KHS-AI on LS-440 and Hybrid UV Curing System on LS-432 were demonstrated at the center of the booth which was called "Main Theater" with a huge video screen. During this demo, we presented JDF collaboration with MIS/Olive, Prepress/Screen and Postpress/Horizon, and aslo collaboration with Canon's digital printing system.

It's definite that many visitors joined our demonstrations and show us high interests in our system.

First Main Theater demo on October 7 was presented only for FAGAT(Forum of Asian Pacific Graphic Arts Technology) members. Mr. Niel Wrigglesworth of the KGC(Komori Graphic Technology Center) lead the demo of LS-440 and explained details of features of the press and KHS-AI functions.

With the theme of "The Print Media, Creating our Future & Protecting our Environment", JGAS 2009 took place over five days from 6th to 10th in October 2009 at Tokyo Big Sight.
Compared with the previous event in 2005, the number of exhibitors has decreased by one-third to 252, reflecting the severity of the current economic difficulties. Despite the bad weather in the 1st half of the session, the show ended successfully with visitors of 69,881, more than our expectation, including 1,468 overseas visitors from 36 different countries.

At JGAS 2009, Komori put the main theme “KOMORI SOLUTIONS” under its corporate slogan “Kando: Beyond Expectations”. And through Komori booth and Komori seminar sessions, worked to contribute to the growth and development of customers’ business by proposing best business solutions from the three standpoints of “KOMORI QUALITY”, “KOMORI ASSISTANCE” and “KOMORI ECOLOGY”.



We put the environment map in front of KOMORI booth and explain clearly to the customer how our system designed as environmentally-friendly product.
